Or the bits of damp string between your ISP and the server.
One of the disadvantages of both cable and ADSL is that you're tied to a
single ISP. With cable it's your cable provider, with ADSL it's
whichever ISP you chose. If the ISP has a problem, you're stuck until
they fix it.
It's theoretically possible to have more than one ADSL ISP, but BT don't
permit this.
